Work began last week on the six-kilometre section of the $2.25 billion M80 Ring Road upgrade between Edgars Road, Thomastown, and Plenty Road, Bundoora.
Victorian Roads Minister Terry Mulder and the Federal Member for McEwen, Rob Mitchell, turned the first sod at Thomastown.
