Thick black smoke blanketed Melbourne’s north on Tuesday as firefighters battled to control a factory blaze in Thomastown.
A brick factory at Commercial Drive, Thomastown, was fully alight when firefighters arrived about 1pm.
The factory was quickly evacuated, and 32 firefighters and six trucks took an hour to bring the flames under control.
