Police raids net giant haul

Police were kept busy in Melbourne’s north last week after a series of raids netted weapons, drugs and stolen goods.

Four northern suburbs men were charged with theft after police seized luxury cars and property valued at more than $460,000 on Wednesday.

Sam Bokhaazi, 45, of Mill Park, Abraham Naddaf, 42, of Yarrambat, Christopher Sykos, 51, of Reservoir, and Mohomoud Naddaf, 35, of Doreen, fronted Melbourne Magistrates Court last Thursday.

They faced charges of aggravated burglary and theft.

Their appearance followed the execution of warrants by Whittlesea crime investigation unit detectives and the Special Operations Group on seven properties at Doreen, Mill Park, Venus Bay, Yarrambat and Reservoir about 5am last Wednesday.

Luxury cars and property were later seized, as were allegedly stolen goods, a gun and drugs.

The men were remanded in custody until April 22. Another seven men and three women were arrested following unrelated drug raids in Sunbury on Thursday morning, when police seized drugs, weapons and chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine.
