Three men held up the Casa D’Abruzzo Club in Epping about 9pm last Wednesday in what Mill Park Senior Sergeant Stuart Morris described as a “pretty violent” incident. Trail gets a facelift

Whittlesea council has finished $365,000 works to upgrade a 500-metre stretch of the Darebin Creek Trail between St Luke’s Tennis Club and McKimmies Road. The granite sand path was converted to a 2.5-metre-wide concrete shared path.

NBN switch-over

About 4500 houses in Mill Park had their copper telephone lines disconnected last week as part of the compulsory switch to the National Broadband Network. Anyone in the area who has not ordered an NBN service yet will need to decide whether they require a telephone connection, internet access, or both, and select an NBN retail service provider. Visit www.mynbn.info/switchoff/list.
