Hume Summer Reading Club: Book a place for adventure

Adventure tales are the theme for this year’s annual Hume Summer Reading Club.

The annual initiative encourages children in the city of Hume aged up to 17 to pick up their e-readers or old school books and devour as many titles as possible until January 31.

Hume mayor Adem Atmaca says the club is an initiative that encourages literacy and a love of reading, and the council has been supporting it for more than 10 years.

“The summer reading club is a great opportunity to discover new authors and illustrators, learn new facts and use your imagination to explore new places and meet new people,” Cr Atmaca said.

To join the program, download a reading record at www.humelibraries.vic.gov.au.
