Join Waterwatch for a night of frog discovery on Tuesday, December 9, from 7-8.30pm. Learn to recognise different frog calls and help collect important data for the frog census. Families are most welcome. Meet at the Hazel Glen Room, Laurimar Community Activity Centre,

Christmas sausage sizzle

A sausage sizzle will be held on Saturday, December 6, to help support families in Iraq and Syria. Make a donation and enjoy a snag from noon-6pm to help fund shelter, assistance and protection for Iraqi and Syrian families. Woolworths Roxburgh Park, 250 Somerton Road.

Mill Park carols

Bring the whole family and enjoy the festive season with your community at the 2014 Carols by Candlelight on Friday, December 12, from 7-10pm. NatureWatch and Merri Creek Management Committee are teaming up to carry out vegetation assessments in golden sun moth habitats on Thursday, December 4, 9.30am-4pm. If the weather conditions are right we will also run a sun moth survey.

Animated-movie fundraiser

To raise money for the Cancer Council, an outdoor movie night will be held at Meadowglen Athletics Track on Saturday, December 6. The animated movie Frozen will be screened, Santa will make an appearance and there will be a jumping castle and face-painting for the kids.
