Lalor girl missing: Police seek public information

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a missing teenage girl from Lalor.

Family last had contact with Jamila Mehmud shortly before 9pm on Thursday when she messaged her mum to say she would be arriving at Epping train station in 15 minutes.

The 15-year-old never arrived and her parents subsequently contacted police.

Police believe she had been with a group of friends earlier in the night.

Police said the disappearance was out of character.

Jamila is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance,180cm tall with a thin build and long dark hair with blonde highlights.

She was last seen wearing a white crop top, blue jeans and black Chuck Taylor runners.

Police have released an image of Jamila in the hope that someone may recognise her.
