Assault captured on CCTV
Two teenagers who police allege attacked a security guard at the Hume Global Learning Village on October 23 have been arrested and charged. Detectives from the Hume crime investigation unit last week charged the 13-year-olds with intentionally causing injury. They were bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on December 16 on condition they avoid the Hume Global Learning Centre. Police say CCTV cameras captured two boys assaulting the security guard, pulling him to the ground and punching and stomping on his head.
Bungalow fire ‘suspicious’
A suspicious fire at 62 Woodburn Crescent, Meadow Heights, is being investigated. Metropolitan Fire Brigade was called to the fire in a bungalow at the rear of the property about 9pm on October 28. Circumstances around the fire have been deemed suspicious. Gold ring handed in
What appears to be a gold wedding ring was handed into Broadmeadows police station last Thursday. The ring was found on July 21 on a nature strip on Greenvale Road, Greenvale. Police are asking anyone claiming to own, or know the owner of, the ring to contact the property officer at Broadmeadows police station on 9302 8222.
