Technology catches up with play time

The fairytales of Hans Christian Andersen came alive at a new playground in Epping unveiled by Whittlesea mayor Mary Lalios last week. The council spent $500,000 to upgrade the playground at Winchester Park, which now includes a new seating area, barbecue equipment, a half-size basketball court, concrete pedestrian pathways, an open grass area and a drinking fountain. their smartphones or tablets and access an app called Play GateTM, which brings stories like The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling and The Tinderbox to life in the play equipment. … Lexi Cottee
