Twelve people have been arrested as part of Thursday’s raids targeting ‘ice’ and other drug and arms offences across the northern and western suburbs.
Hume, Moreland and Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Units, Fawkner Highway Patrol, Operations Response Unit (ORU) and the dog squad were all involved in the operation.
Police executed 14 search warrants at 11 residential properties in areas including Niddrie, Keilor East, Coburg, Brunswick, Craigieburn and Broadmeadows about 7am as part of Operation Correcting and seized a quantity of drugs, cash and prohibited weapons.
Those arrested include a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old man from Meadow Heights, a 27-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man, both from East Keilor, a 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Glenroy
Searches are still under way as part the large-scale operation.
