Tullamarine: TNT starts work on $80 million logistics hub

Global logistics company TNT Australia is building its biggest transport and logistics centre in Tullamarine.

Work on the $80 million complex, in Melbourne Airport’s business park, started last week.

Transport Minister Terry Mulder said the new hub confirmed the trend among transport, logistics and distribution companies to base their operations in Melbourne’s north and west.

TNT’s 38,000-square-metre centre will open for business in September next year.

Hume mayor Casey Nunn, TNT southern region director Rod Barnes, Mr Mulder, Liberal state election candidate for Sunbury Jo Hagan and TNT managing director Peter Langley were on hand to see works get under way.
