Hume school welcomes block
A new senior school block at Hume Anglican Grammar School in Mickleham was officially opened last week. It offers students and staff five new learning areas and a study common room, a reception area, meeting room, associated offices, student kitchen and a storeroom.
Epping enters locker age
Epping now has 24/7 Australia Post parcel pick-up lockers. The lockers have been installed at 339 Dalton Road, Epping, as part of a national rollout of a new locker system.
Sunbury early learning funds
Early Childhood Development Minister Wendy Lovell was in Sunbury last week to announce funding of $11,300 for Goodstart Early Learning, in Bennett Court. The money will be used to enhance the centre’s playground with new garden beds, and to purchase a Lenovo touch table. St Andrews Sunbury Kindergarten will receive $11,4000 to enlarge its playground and purchase two new iPads.
Meadow Heights kinder opens
A $737,000 kindergarten was officially opened in Meadow Heights last week. The Bethal Primary School Kindergarten will provide 44 places. The new kindergarten is on the same site as the primary school. Children
and Early Childhood Development Minister Wendy Lovell said its location would make it more convenient for families.
