EDFL

Craigieburn avoided relegation from division 1 of the Essendon District Football League on Saturday despite losing the final match. The Eagles entered the final round equal on points with Hadfield but slightly ahead on percentage. But while Craigieburn lost narrowly to Taylors Lakes, 8.16 (65) to 8.11 (59), Hadfield went down by 84 against Oak Park. Also in division 1, Tullamarine beat Glenroy 13.10 (88) to 13.3 (81). The Demons will face West Coburg in the first week of finals and Westmeadows meets Taylors Lakes.

Darts

All three matches in the Northern Darts Association C-grade ended with 6-5 margins, Doutta Jets, Plough Hotel and Coolaroo Storm beating Broadmeadows Bandits, East Keilor Boozers and North Heidelberg Bulldogs respectively. In A-grade, Da Wolf Pack got off to a good start in their debut with a 9-2 win. Reservoir Dogs defeated North Held Hawks 8-3 and Junction Coosts defeated The Shooters 6-5. In B-grade, Pres/Res Lakies Blue surprised the Broadmeadows Bandits 8-3, while Watsonia Saints defeated Whittlesea Royals 6-5 and Tulla Demons were too good for Reservoir Mustangs 6-5.

NPL

Whittlesea Ranges won 4-3 in a thriller against Richmond in the National Premier League 1 on Friday night. The Ranges had a 3-1 lead before Richmond hit back through two penalties to level the scores at 3-3. Tomislav Trbuhovic scored the winner for the Ranges with three minutes to go after earlier goals by Girolamo Constanza, Kliment Dimitrieski and Daniel Sotiropoulos.

VFL

Northern Blues were outscored in every quarter in the VFL clash with Port Melbourne on Saturday. The 18.17 (125) to 9.6 (60) loss leaves the Blues 11th on the ladder with one round left.

TAC Cup

The Northern Knights had a convincing 22.19 (151) to 11.8 (74) win over Bendigo Pioneers on Saturday. Reece McKenzie kicked six goals and Jayden Short four. The Knights face Calder Cannons this weekend.
