Trace your Scots ancestors

Joy Roy, of the Genealogy Society of Victoria, will be on hand to teach participants how to access records using Scotlandspeople – a website that helps to trace Scottish ancestors. Joy’s two-hour, adults-only (witchcraft is on the agenda) talk is tomorrow, 10am-noon, at Sunbury library, 44 Macedon Street, Sunbury.

Emotional IQ

Understand emotional intelligence and how to help youngsters manage their feelings at this two-hour seminar. Gianna Mazzone, of Parentzone Anglicare, will talk to parents and early-years educators tomorrow, 7-9pm, at the Mernda village community centre, 70 Mernda Drive, Mernda.

Wipeout woody weeds

Friends of Merri Creek will tackle the third of five blocks to be weeded at Campbellfield’s Cooper Street grasslands.
