Reservoir: Police call for witnesses into car ramming

Police have called for witnesses to a car ramming in Reservoir on Friday afternoon.

A Ford Laser was almost pushed off the road by a black Audi Q7 wagon, allegedly stolen, which had been seen being driven erratically along Dunne Street at Kingsbury about 4.10pm.

The Audi, registration WPD-141, travelled to Bolderwood Parade in Reservoir, where it pulled over to the left-hand side of the road and was passed by the Laser.

As the Laser approached a roundabout at the intersection of McMahon Road and Bolderwood Parade, the Audi caught up and rammed the Ford from behind.

It then pushed the Laser along the road and towards power poles and properties on the opposite.

Eventually the Audi broke off but not before the Laser was pushed into a Holden Commodore.

Witnesses have told police the Audi was last seen in Hickford Street near Cheddar Road, Reservoir, and had front-end damage.

Police believe that the Audi was stolen from Rowville in late June and was involved in a petrol drive-off at Craigieburn last Wednesday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or go to www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
