Young Ali was instantly inspired to have a go at the goal posts of a pop-up footy come’n’try clinic at Broadmeadows Shopping Centre last week.
The girl before him played in thongs; Ali had only gumboots, but everyone knew the moves thanks to a bit of help from Bill Coates and Hamish May, of promotion and talent management company Direct Image.
World Cup fever has left [real] footy aficionados bleary-eyed for weeks now, but they all line up for yet another long night of games in front of the telly.
