Energy project
Yarra Valley Water is inviting residents to hear plans for a new energy production plant at its wastewater treatment facility in Aurora. The new plant will convert organic waste destined for landfills into energy to run the plant, putting excess power back into the green energy grid. An information session will be held at Creeds Farm Living and Learning Centre, 2 Snugburgh Way, Epping North, from 6-8pm tomorrow.

Making returns less taxing
Eligible low-income earners in Hume are able to access free services to help prepare and lodge their tax returns. The service is by appointment and will be offered from July 14 until October 31. Advice is available in 14 languages at the Broadmeadows and Craigieburn learning centres, Coolaroo West and Tullamarine community houses, and Victorian Arabic Social Services.
