TAC Cup

Nick O’Kearney pressed his case to be part of Vic Metro’s next game with a best on ground performance in the Calder Cannons’ 18-point win against Gippsland in Morwell on Saturday. Missing six of its Metro squad members, the Cannons led by three or four goals for most of the game before winning 13.15 (93) to 11.9 (75). Jayden Foster was the dominant forward on the ground with five goals for the Cannons. The win cements the Cannons in second spot on the ladder. An undermanned Northern Knights played hard in their match against Dandenong Stingrays, but were unable to match the Stingrays, eventually losing 12.12 (84) to 7.5 (47).
