UPDATE: A member of the Victoria Police bomb response unit checks for incendiary explosive devices in the burnt-out wreckage of a car that exploded in Dallas on Thursday morning.
Homes in Kiewa Crescent were evacuated after a car bomb exploded when a 29-year-old started his car in the driveway of his home.

Fire, paramedic and police services were on the scene within minutes.
The man was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious leg and lower-body injuries. His Ford Mondeo was extensively burnt.
The fire also damaged a nearby fence. Neighbours said the man only bought the car a few weeks ago. Police declared the area safe about noon.
