Sunbury West Primary School last week underwent a mini-makeover as crews from Bunnings Warehouse Sunbury and Dulux teamed up to paint the school’s gymnasium.
Assistant principal Inga Wilson said the gym needed a “freshen up”.
“Our school is 42 years old so some things needs some TLC at the moment,” Ms Wilson said. “We so appreciate their support. We wouldn’t be able to do a project like this without them.”
Students Riley and Jake joined Bunnings’ Mary Corso and Marie and Sue from Dulux to help brighten up the gymnasium.
Ms Wilson said students were very excited and it was “absolutely fantastic” to see different parts of the community working together.
The Bunnings team visited the school as part of its community initiative program. .
