A new employment agency for people with disabilities opened in Glenroy last week.
Queensland-based MAX employment is a disability jobs service provider with more than 100 agencies across Australia.
It is part of a global health services company with bases in the US, UK and Canada and was recently awarded a disability management service contract for the Glenroy area by the state Department of Social Services.
In its prospectus, MAX claims all eligible job seekers with a disability, injury or health condition will be helped to prepare for, find and keep a job.
“There are no waiting lists so those eligible will receive the right assistance as early as possible,” it states.
With a focus on education, training and skills development, the service aims to increase people’s chances of getting and staying in a job.
“Services providers will provide a mix of services to address both job-related and other more personal concerns,” the prospectus states.
