CONCERT: Black Majesty celebrates 10 heavy years in style

It’s been more than 10 years since Black Majesty burst onto Australia’s heavy metal scene, a birthday they’re celebrating with a series of performances in May.

Airport West resident Pavel Konvalinka, Black Majesty’s drummer (second from left), along with vocalist John Cavaliere and guitarists Steve Janevski and Hanny Mohamed, have released five albums and toured with some of the world’s biggest heavy metal festivals.

Janevski said the international stages are among the highlights of the last decade, but the band is looking forward to celebrating with their home-grown fans.

“The shows will be a collection of songs from the first five albums, with a few surprises thrown in there as well,” he said.

Black Majesty will perform every Thursday in May at Musicland, 1359a Sydney Road, Fawkner. Tickets available at the door.
