GRAVELY INTERESTING

The Whittlesea Historical Society’s next meeting features guest speaker Dr Celestina Sagazio, historian and cultural heritage manager of the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust. Her presentation will feature interesting cemetery tales and humorous epitaphs. The meeting is at 7.30pm at Whittlesea council offices, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.

Hume and Northern Happenings is a social group for people in their 40s and 50s living in the northern suburbs. The group holds fortnightly social functions. The next event will be a petanque session followed by a barbecue this Saturday.

Fancy brushing up on your skills as a shutterbug? Then join the Craigieburn Camera Club and find out about camera equipment and techniques, take part in events and contribute to the club’s Facebook page. All experience levels welcome. SQUIRMY WORMS

This hands-on workshop will teach participants how to set up and maintain a low-cost worm farm

READY FOR EASTER

Children aged 5-12 can make their own Easter basket, ready for the Easter Bunny’s visit and the Easter egg hunt. This session includes decorating and assistance with making a personalised basket. On Thursday, April 17, from 10.30-11.30am at The Age Library, 1093 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows.
