Warrant arrest

A 36-year-old man was arrested by Wyndham police after he drove through an automatic number plate recognition site in Laverton last Tuesday. The man was arrested on a warrant for the alleged theft of a motor vehicle. In 2015, the man allegedly drove a stolen car through a preliminary breath test site in Hoppers Crossing.

Stolen car

Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old woman and 35-year-old man in Sneydes Road, Werribee with theft of a motor vehicle and drug possession last Tuesday. The man and woman were allegedly caught driving in a stolen vehicle. Police also issued more than 20 infringement notices for traffic-related matters to other motorists on the same day.

Collision charges laid

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a multi-vehicle collision on the Princes Freeway in Point Cook, in which a Hoppers Crossing man died on March 16 this year. Police arrested and charged a 45-year-old Frankston North man with several charges including dangerous driving causing death and other traffic-related offences last week. He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 5.
