Get your green thumbs ready across Hume

Hume’s Enviro Champions program is set to start for the year, offering a 10-week training program covering sustainability, leadership, communication, advocacy and project management.

Once the program is completed participants are given support to plan and run a community project, such as the Sunbury Fruit and Veg Swap.

Another Hume Enviro Champions initiative, Fork the Suburbs group will hold a film and discussion night on Wednesday, February 12, 7-8pm, at Hume Global Learning Centre, Broadmeadows. The documentary film,

The Growing Food Project, features Melburnians building local, fair-priced and sustainable food systems.

The training program is free and starts on Wednesday, February 26, at the Hume GLC in Broadmeadows.
