With a four-shot loss to the pacesetter on Saturday, Bundoora RSL has yielded more ground to runaway ladder leader Brighton in Bowls Victoria’s premier division.
Brighton won 14-82 to RSL’s 4-68, moving to 125 points atop the ladder from Clayton (113) and Moonee Ponds (110), while Bundoora RSL (102) slipped from third to fourth.
Bundoora’s two wins came from Luke Aillo, who beat Chad Twentyman 21-19, and Ian Ewing, who downed Aaron Wilson 20-17.
But Todd Shannon’s 26-13 win over Damon Di Florio skewed the margin in Brighton’s favour.
In division 2, section 2, Broadmeadows beat Keilor 15-93 to 3-88 to retain its big lead at the top of the ladder. Broadmeadows (128) is well ahead of West Coburg (103) and Lalor-2 (100).
In division 2, section 3, Craigieburn lost 16-79 to 2-69 against Whittlesea. The loss saw Craigieburn (56 points) slip to ninth behind Darebin City (65) and ahead of Lalor-3 (30).
