Small Victory on road to health

Melbourne Victory soccer stars Nathan Coe, Andrew Nabbout, Connor Pain and Archie Thompson kicked off an extra special school holiday workout for Craigieburn children last week.

The quartet went out to play at Craigieburn Health Service, hoping to inspire parents as well as their children to make sport a part of their everyday life.

Northern Health chief executive Janet Compton said the players’ visit to Craigieburn’s LEAP (lifestyle education activity program) Clinic aimed to show younger participants that playing sport was a lifelong habit they needed to develop to stay healthy.

And once the youngsters are back at school, the health service has something planned for their parents and grandparents.

On Monday, October 14, a Northern Health Foundation senior pro-am golf tournament will be held at the Growling Frog golf course at Yan Yean.
