Schools hunger for breakfast club

Mill Park Heights Primary School is seeking a $5000 grant to set up a breakfast club.

“We want all our kids to have a nutritious breakfast, and parents could come too,” principal Deborah Patterson says.

Fourteen schools have applied for 10 grants offered by financial institution CUA across Bundoora, Epping and surrounds.

Schools include Lalor Gardens Primary, Epping’s Al Siraat College, Mernda’s St Joseph’s Primary and Thomastown Secondary College.

Residents can vote for winners at CUA’s Epping and Bundoora branches or at cuacommunitycare.com.au
