A Doreen teenager has received the highest international Girl Guides award after four years of hard work. Ivanhoe Grammar School Plenty campus student Monique Le Mottee received her Queen’s Guide Award medal on June 25 for services to the community. A Girl Guides Victoria veteran of 12 years, 18-year-old Le Mottee volunteered as a netball coach, received the highest cadet honour position for co-ordinating cadets and completed a research project into Guiding in the Yarra Valley to achieve the award.
