Five-year-old Mernda boy Liam Burns (pictured) had his sporting dreams come true last week when he had the chance to meet Australian NBA star Andrew Bogut.
Burns took part in a sponsored Basketball Victoria clinic at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on June 16.
Junior basketball players had the chance to join in drills with Bogut and other players from the NBL and WNBL.
Burns’ mother Kelly says he is not allowed to start playing basketball until he starts school, but she says he loves the game, plays with his sister and watches the NBA on television with his father.
