Plenty Valley Disability Services: Green-thumbs for Greenbrook

Keen gardeners from Plenty Valley Disability Services make up the hardworking team that maintain the Greenbrook Community House gardens each week, including (pictured) Brett, volunteer Louise Potter and Sue.

The Greenbrook Green-thumbs meet from 10.30am to 11.30am on Wednesdays and Fridays to sow seeds, transplant seedlings and tend the gardens. Once a month a guest speaker visits the centre to give a gardening presentation to the group.

Greenbrook Community House co-ordinator Liz Walker says the group is hardworking and enthusiastic. “It’s a wonderful, healthy addition to their weekly programs,” she says.
