Families delighted with Bundoora’s newly upgraded Taunton Park

Libby Caringola and her daughter Mia (pictured) have slid right into the fun at Bundoora’s newly upgraded Taunton Park. The Whittlesea council has spent almost $300,000 in redesigning the Janet Crescent park to include a variety of recreation spaces including a large open grassed area and seating under large trees. While children enjoy themselves on the slide, swings and rope climbing nets in the new playground, or play on the half-size basketball court, families can use the picnic shelter, barbecues and drinking fountain. And with more than 5000 new plants and 130 new native trees and shrubs, the park will soon be looking lush.
