Big hand for favourite Mill Park librarian

Mill Park library manager Tania Barry has been voted one of Australia’s favourite librarians and the co-winner for Victoria. Library users such as Karlie Fisher (pictured with Tania Barry) and colleagues voted for her in the national Australian Library and Information Association awards.

“When I joined the library in 2008, we had three children’s programs a week. We now have 10. We used to have two computer classes a month, now we have five a week.” says Ms Barry, who was nominated for promoting literacy.
