Bundoora Primary aiming for RoboCup

Bundoora Primary School’s Kallum, Connor and Annie (pictured with science teacher David Luke) are ready for a robotics unit as part of a program for high achievers.

The grade five and six students will learn the ins and outs of robotics.

“Not too many schools offer robotics,” Luke says. “I want them to achieve the satisfaction that they built something from scratch and take a sense of pride.”

Luke hopes to send the students’ creations to RoboCup, a robot building competition for schools.

“The cup has lots of different schools participating with robots that dance and play soccer. They have a lot of skills to learn until then.”
