The Lalor Library is opening a free toy library for babies to five-year-olds. Abdul, 2, is pictured with some of the items.
Library spokeswoman Jane Grace says there will be jigsaw puzzles, educational clocks, dolls, cars and trucks.
“Toys are an important part of children’s early development and are beneficial to them in so many ways,” she says.
“Toys promote creativity, team work, social interaction, relationships with natural environment and physical exercise.”
The toy library operates from Lalor Library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 11am to noon. Details: call 9465 2353.
