Governor tees off at Growling Frog Golf Course to save wildlife

Governor Alex Chernov takes a break from helping the state’s threatened species at a charity golf event last week. As patron of Zoos Victoria, Mr Chernov helped raise $16,000 to save 20 species from extinction, 16 of them in Victoria. Victorian PGA champion David McKenzie and other golf stars joined the governor at the Growling Frog Golf Course in Yan Yean last Tuesday. The 2013 Governor’s Charity Pro-Am was won by Ryan Haywood and Nathan Uebergang.
