Renee and Jason Lee and their nine-year-old son Jackson are helping to clean up their neighbourhood. Ms Lee says she wants to teach Jackson to look after his environment and is alarmed at the amount of rubbish thrown from cars around the Riversdale Estate in Mernda.
Whittlesea council has seven registered sites for its Clean Up Australia Day activities on Sunday, March 3 from 10am to noon: Thomastown East Reserve, Darebin Creek in Bundoora, Plenty Road in Mill Park, Plenty Gorge parklands, Mill Park recreation reserve, VR Michael reserve in Epping and Laurimar wetlands and parklands in Doreen.
