Diabetes prevention: Whittlesea grandma ready to Beat It with new excercise program

Being a grandmother of four, Luba Temelkovski (pictured) needs to be fit. She is taking part in the City of Whittlesea’s Beat It, a 12-week exercise and health program to prevent and manage diabetes.

Mrs Temelkovsi says she doesn’t have a family history of diabetes but is using the twice-weekly sessions with a personal trainer and fortnightly nutrition talks at the Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre to improve her health.

“I want to be fit and active, get out in the sun and walk and exercise,” she says. Details: call Rhiannon Savage on 9217 2357.
