Thomastown man killed helping fix broken down car

A THOMASTOWN good Samaritan died when a car he was working on reversed on to him on Thursday.

The 66-year-old was helping with a broken down car in Station Street, Lalor when it reversed on to him at 11.30am, police said.

He was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition but died on Friday, they said.

The male driver of the vehicle is assisting police with enquiries.
