Thomastown motorcycle hoon caught

A THOMASTOWN hoon motorcyclist was caught riding an unregistered motorcycle while unlicensed and doing a  “mono” on a busy city street on Wednesday night.

A police spokeswoman said police from the Melbourne Highway Patrol  caught the  33-year-old at 9.15pm in Carlton North and his motorcycle was impounded.

She said police spotted him doing a “mono” or lifting the front wheel and only riding on the back, as he travelled north along Lygon Street.

They found that he was unlicensed and riding an unregistered motorcycle.H

is bike has been impounded for 30 days and he is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences.
