Westmeadows’ dreams of a fourth straight premiership remain on track with the Warriors through to the Victorian Turf Cricket Association women’s T20 grand final.
Undefeated all season, the Warriors entered the finals series as favourites.
Though they were tested by Burnside Springs on Sunday in their semi final.
The Warriors made 8-117 from their 20 overs with Emily Findlay top scoring with 68 in the middle order.
Burnside Springs did well throughout their innings not to lose wickets, but some tight bowling from the Warriors restricted their scoring.
Burnside Springs fell just short, finishing 2-110.
Natalie Scott and Nicole Cutajar took the wickets for the Warriors, with Linton conceding just 17 runs off her four overs.
The Warriors will play Caroline Springs in the grand final. The Warriors beat the Falcons in last year’s grand final.
The Falcons beat Glenroy-St Andrews PV in the other semi final.
