Westmeadows made it three wins in a row, beating Rupertswood in the Essendon District Football League division 1.

After a slow first quarter with only a goal each, the Tigers jumped out to a 25 point lead across the next two quarters.

With the Sharks coming hard in the last quarter, the Tigers were able to hold on, winning 11.14 (80)-12.4 (76).

Jordan Hollow was named the Tigers best.

Roxburgh Park was given a reality check against Airport West.

The Magpies, who entered the round in third spot, got the chance to test themselves against ladder leaders.

The Eagles jumped out of the blocks with seven goals to three in the first quarter.

The game was all but over at half time, with the Eagles leading by 55 points. The Eagles would eventually win, 25.9 (159)-11.10 (76).

Ned Gentile kicked 11 goals for Airport West in the win.

Raafat Rachrache kicked three goals for the Magpies, while Jack Elliott was named their best.

Despite the loss, the Magpies remain in third spot.

Tullamarine returned to the winners list against Craigieburn.

The Demons started well with 10 scoring shots to three in the first quarter. The Demons continued to build the lead on the way to a 20.18 (138)-5.4 (34) win.

Shaun McKernan kicked seven goals in a best on ground performance for the Demons.

It was all single goal kickers for Craigieburn. Benjamin Fynch was named the Eagles best.

In the premier division, Greenvale was again competitive with one of the top sides without getting the win.

On Saturday, the Jets faced Maribyrnong Park.

There was only one point separating the teams at half time, before five goals to one in favour of the Lions in the third quarter broke open the game.

Despite winning the last quarter, the Jets fell short, 11.12 (78)-8.9 (57).

In division 2, Jacana was beaten by Hadfield.

Coming off their best performance of the season, the Jaguars were beaten 25.13 (163)-3.1 (19).

Kelton Overend kicked two of the Jaguars three goals.
