One of Hume City’s stalwarts Hayden Tennant’s time at the club has come to an end.
Tennant has been a key player for the National Premier League side for a number of years, having been vice-captain of the side in recent years.
The club announced on social media that Tennant wouldn’t be returning this season.
“From his humble beginnings as a junior in 2014 to his recent role as vice captain for the 2023 season, Hayden’s journey with the club has been nothing short of extraordinary,” the post said.
“Hayden’s dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment to the team have left an indelible mark on the Hume City legacy. His pivotal role in our first trophy win, the 2019 Dockerty Cup, showcased not only his individual talent but also his ability to elevate the entire squad to new heights at such a young age.
“As a vice captain, he embodied leadership on and off the pitch, inspiring his teammates with his passion and determination.
“To Hayden Tennant, we say a heartfelt thank you for the dedication, passion, and excellence you brought to Hume City. You will always be a part of the Hume City family, and we wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavours.
“May success and triumph follow you wherever your football journey takes you.”
In the comments on the post, Tennant said, “it’s been an absolute pleasure to play for this wonderful club and I’ve made lifelong friends and family along the way”.
