Lalor Stars have locked in former Victorian Premier cricketer Sam Skinner for the Diamond Valley Cricket Association Money Shield season.
Skinner played 232 games with Melbourne University in Premier Cricket across all grades before retiring earlier this year.
A wicketkeeper-batsman, Skinner captained the Students second and third XI sides over the years and played in three third XI premiership sides.
The Stars said Skinner brings elite keeping skills and dynamic batting to the club.
“He’s already made his mark at the club, claiming the Kade Lawry Medal as best on ground in the Donald’s Cup earlier this year,” the club said.
“Known as the “world’s nicest man,” Sam’s character and fearless, 360-degree stroke play make him a standout addition.”
