South Morang is through to the North Metro Cricket Association Lorraine Ireland women’s B final.
Finals action kicked off for the women’s competition on Sunday with semi finals across all the grades.
South Morang managed to get the job done in its semi final with Laurimar.
The Lions made 7-148 from their 30 overs with Jessica Parker top scoring with 38.
Phoebe McKenna took four wickets for Laurimar.
The Power had a couple of good partnerships get going, but were unable to keep up with the run rate due to some good bowling.
The Power fell well short, finishing 2-119. Kyra Rule finished 38 not out for the Power.
It was single wicket takers for the Lions.
The Lions will face North Eltham Wanderers in the B final after the Wanderers beating Pascoe Vale Central in the other semi final.
In the A semi finals, Epping Pingettes season came to an end against Heidelberg.
The Pingettes were bowled out for 62 in the 22 overs.
Bronte Irvine top scored with 21 at the top of the order, as just two batters reached double figures.
Heidelberg made the runs with ease, finishing 0-68 in 7.4 overs.
In the Heather Baillie women’s division 3 competition, the Pingettes were also knocked out.
Facing Heidelberg again in that competition, Heidelberg made 6-108 from its overs.
Maddison Fraser top scored with 25.
Jugaddeep Kaur and Makayla Hopkins took two wickets each.
The Pingettes made 4-91 in reply.
Naomee Hoeboer finished 35 not out after having retired.
Heidelberg will face Banyule in the grand final.
