Craigieburn is on the hunt for a new coach in the Essendon District Football League with Justin Sherman stepping down.
In a statement on the club’s Facebook page, president John Perrone thanked Sherman for his time at the club.
“On behalf of myself and the committee and the members, the Craigieburn Football Club would like to say thank you to Justin Sherman for his contribution to the club throughout this season.
“Due to personal reasons Justin has decided to step aside from the coaching role effective immediately.
“We as a club would like to take the opportunity to wish Justin all the best in the future.”
Sherman joined the Eagles this season as they dropped back into division 1 after being relegated. He had previously coached Laurimar and had been involved at the Northern Knights.
The Eagles have won just two games so far and sit second bottom, after a number of key players left in the off season.
The Eagles face Tullamarine this week.
