Greenvale has two must win games in the run home if it’s to continue its finals streak in Essendon District Football League premier division.

The Jets sit outside the top four for the first time this season, after a loss to an undefeated Keilor side on Saturday.

It was a tough day out for the Jets, against a side that is starting to hit it straps.

There were danger sides early, with the Blues kicking the only four goals of the first quarter.

They were able to build on that lead throughout, winning 18.20 (128)-5.11 (41).

Kurtis Sanajko was the only multiple goal kicker for the Jets, kicking two goals.

Nick Maric and Samuel Zumbo were named the Jets’ best.

The loss leaves the Jets a game outside the top four with two rounds remaining.

They play fourth placed Strathmore in a do or die match this week. A loss will mean the Jets finals hopes are over.

They face Avondale Heights in the final round.

The top four has been settled in division 1, with Westmeadows ensuring its spot in finals without even playing a game.

The Tigers pocketed the four points from the bye, and with Hillside and West Coburg both suffering losses, the Tigers now sit two games clear with one round remaining.

The Tigers will finish fourth and play in an elimination final.

The battle for a top two spot though will go down to the final round.

East Keilor, Craigieburn and Tullamarine all are hoping to finish top two and get the double chance.

All three sides enter the final round on the back of good wins.

East Keilor had a scare against West Coburg, but were able to get the win, 19.13 (127)-17.13 (115).

The Cougars currently sit one game clear of the Eagles and Demons.

The Eagles defeated Hillside, 17.13 (115)-10.17 (77), to end the Sharks finals hopes.

Meanwhile, the Demons returned to the winners list, beating Roxburgh Park, 18.17 (125)-9.13 (67).

At the other end of the ladder, Oak Park will win the wooden spoon after losing to Taylors Lakes.

Division 2 finals start this week, with the Sunbury Kangaroos to face Moonee Valley and Coburg Districts playing Burnside Heights.
