Roxburgh Park’s premiership dreams are on hold for another week in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association division 5.
Facing Williamstown Congs in a best-of-three grand final series, the premiership will go down to game three after the two teams split the first two matches.
The Falcons got off to a perfect start on Saturday.
The Congs batted first and made 7-140 from their overs. Jason Green top scored with 30.
Asif Rasool took three wickets, but was expensive.
Roxburgh Park timed its chase perfectly, hitting the winning runs with 10 balls remaining.
Abdul Bari Khan Khalil top scored with 34 at the top of the order.
The Congs batted first in game two, making 9-167.
Karandeep Singh top scored with 44 for the Congs.
Harpreet Singh was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-23.
The game went down to the wire. The Falcons were bowled out for 160 with three balls remaining, with the Congs leveling up the series.
Azadveer Singh top scored for the Falcons with 29.
Game three will be played at Roxburgh Park’s home ground at Lakeside Drive.
In senior division, Aberfeldie and Haig Fawkner are locked at 1-1, while Grand United and Footscray United are also locked at 1-1 in division 3.
Deer Park, Sydenham-Hillside and Caroline Springs all claimed premierships after winning the first two matches.
