Gladstone Park’s push for an outright victory against Hume in the North West Metropolitan Cricket Association’s Vic Kyte Shield fell short.
Having already claimed an outright win on day one, the Burras were on the hunt for maximum points on Saturday.
The Burras declared on their day one score of 5-253 to start day two with a lead of 118.
It was hard going for Hume as they looked to bat throughout the day.
Rain would be their saviour as play was called off after just 31 overs. Hume was 7-162 when the game ended.
The six points has Gladstone Park sitting fourth with a 12 point gap on fifth.
Donnybrook extended its lead at the top of the table, beating the Chargers.
Having also claimed first innings points on day one, Donnybrook batted for a second time on day two.
They started the day with a lead of 43 runs and looked to build on it.
Rain ended the game early, with Donnybrook 5-187 in its second innings.
Sukhraj Sukhi Bhullar was 37 not out.
In the Luscombe Shield, the Northern Lions game with Burnside Springs ended in a draw.
The Lions were 4-144 in reply to 9-229 when rain ended play.
