Quick run chase for Old Paradians

Old Paradians wasted no time in chasing down the runs against Thomastown United in the second round of the Northern Region T20 competition.

Thomastown United made 6-98 from its overs, with Anton Basanisi scoring the bulk of the runs making 60.

Old Pardians needed just 7.1 overs to get the winning runs. Premier cricket star Brayden Stepien enjoyed his time with the Old Paradians, hitting 60 off 22 balls.

The heroics of Karl Heckmann couldn’t help South Morang get across the line against Mernda.

Heckmand took 5-19 as South Morang restricted Mernda to 9-130. South Morang could only manage 5-110 in reply.

Sean Bathman top scored with 38, while Heckmann made 26.

Lalor Stars had no troubles in accounting for Donath.

Last season’s runners-up restricted Donath to 103, bowling them out with an over remaing.

The Stars made the runs with five overs to spare, finishing 2-107.

Adam Hall didn’t have a bad game, taking four wickets and making 29 not out.

Thomastown chased down Laurimar’s score 109 with four balls remaining, making 7-111.

Bundoora United won the battle of the Bundoora teams, beating Bundoora Park

United made 4-123 on the back of 81 from captain Corey Cogan, before restricting Bundoora Park to 8-100.

Epping claimed the win against Rivergum in their match.

Epping made 8-140 before bowling Rivergum out fo 118. Todd Hughes took 3-14 for Epping.

Bundoora produced the highest score of night on the way to beating Greensborough. The Bulls made 7-187 from its overs before bowling Greensborough out for 117.
